Made it to school — you already know

Mark Home, School and Work — and YouPoint will tell you when your family arrives or leaves. No more “are you there yet?” calls.

The YouPoint map: Sophie arrived at school

When it helps

Fewer “are you there yet?” calls

  • Your child walks to school alone

You're at work, yet you know they've arrived — without distracting them with a call.

  • Mum went to the doctor

You can see when she's back home — no “so, are you home yet?”.

  • You're waiting at home

Your partner has left work — time to put dinner on.

How it works

You mark the place, the person decides on alerts

  1. 1

Mark a place on the map

Home, School, Practice — with a circle from 50 metres to 2 kilometres. You can correct the address by hand.

  2. 2

The person decides whether to announce their arrivals

It's their choice, in “Profile”. Which family members get the alerts is set by the admin.

  3. 3

Arrived or left — you know

A short notification: who arrived or left. No place names or coordinates in the notification — the details open in the app.

  4. 4

“Tell me if they don't arrive”

You can ask to be told if the person hasn't arrived by a certain time. We wait a little before writing — people run a bit late.

Honestly about the limits

Good to know

  • A rule about someone is never secretThey can see that you set it, and can delete it.
  • The person only shares their area? Then alerts say “near School”, and rules about them don't apply — only with a precise location.
  • We don't report silenceIf the phone is switched off, we don't send “didn't arrive”. It's the phone that's quiet, not the person.

Questions

About places

Does my child know I get these alerts?

Yes. They can see every rule about them on their own phone — nothing behind anyone's back.

Why did the alert come late?

The phone updates its location sparingly to save battery. Most delays come from the phone's battery settings — see the help page for your phone.

Can I say “I'll let you know” myself?

Yes: “I'll tell you when I arrive” — and your family will know when you get there. It's a rule about yourself, so it works at any accuracy except “Hidden”.
