For the whole familyIncluded in the free plan
Ask where your family is — without calling
You don't want to interrupt a lesson or a meeting with a call. Tap “Where are you?” — and the answer comes from your relative's phone, with the accuracy they chose themselves.
Sophie can see that you asked
When it helps
When a call is the wrong moment
Your child isn't picking up
A lesson, practice, the phone in a backpack. The answer comes without a conversation.
Mum hasn't messaged for a while
No need to invent a reason to call just to make sure everything's fine.
You're waiting for someone
Is your partner on the way or still at work? One tap instead of “where are you?” in a messenger.
How it works
Only a fresh answer
- 1
You tap “Where are you?”
In the person's card on the map or in “People”.
- 2
The phone answers itself — or asks
If the person has allowed auto-reply, the phone answers in a few seconds. If not, they see the request and answer themselves. No answer in 2 minutes — we remind them.
- 3
We never pass off an old location as an answer
If the location can't be found, you'll see “Reachable, location unavailable” — not a point from an hour ago.
- 4
The person sees who asked
Every request is in their trust log. Nothing behind anyone's back.
Honestly about the limits
Good to know
- The person chooses the accuracyPrecise location, area, just “all is well”, or nothing. The answer comes exactly that way.
- Phone switched off — no answerWe'll say so, rather than make up a location.
- 12 hours to answerWe keep the request history for 14 days, then it's gone.
- Requests per day5 on the free plan, 15 on YouPoint Pro, unlimited on YouPoint Max.
Questions
About “Where are you?”
Does the person know I asked?
Yes, always. Every request shows in their trust log — even when the phone answered by itself.
How is this better than the map?
The map shows the last known location and how old it is. “Where are you?” asks the phone to find the location now.
What is auto-reply?
The person allows their phone to answer without them. It's turned on and off in “Profile” → “What others see about me”.
